Agreement

By downloading, accessing, or using Bookva (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to the Bookva mobile app, website, and related services we provide.

The Service

Bookva is a reading and language-learning service that lets users import content, read with translation support, save vocabulary, and track reading progress. We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

Accounts and eligibility

You may need an account to use certain features. You may sign in using a third-party login provider such as Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any third-party login credentials you use, and for activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information, keep it updated, and use the Service only in compliance with applicable laws.

Content and intellectual property

The Service, its branding, and our software are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights to content you import; you grant us the license reasonably needed to operate the Service for you (for example storing, processing, syncing, and displaying your content in the app).

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload, import, or use any third-party content in Bookva. You must not use the Service to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.

Subscriptions and payments

Some Bookva features require a paid subscription. We may offer a free trial for a limited period, such as 5 days. Unless cancelled before the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged through the platform or payment provider you used to purchase the subscription. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled according to the terms of that platform or provider, such as the Apple App Store. Prices, plans, and feature access may change from time to time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' data, or our systems.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content.
• Reverse engineer or circumvent technical limitations except where applicable law permits.
• Use automated means to scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service in a way that harms performance or other users.
• Use Bookva in a way that violates the rights of authors, publishers, or other content owners.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Translation, vocabulary, and learning features are provided as aids only and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for any particular use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of these terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or fifty dollars (USD), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if necessary for security, abuse prevention, or operational reasons.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated terms here. Your continued use of Bookva after the updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
